European Cancer Center

The European Cancer Centre (EuCC) is a multicentred and interdisciplinary organisation created in 1992 by the Haematology, Oncology and Basic Cancer Research Institutes of the Universities of Freiburg, Basel and Strasbourg.

The objectives of EuCC are:

  • to exchange information and scientific knowledge,
  • to improve and intensify cooperation between clinical centres and basic research institutes, as well as between universities and the pharmaceutical industry,
  • to initiate cooperation projects in the fields of research and teaching.

The EuCC organises an annual symposium bringing together 200 to 300 people. This event allows young researchers to present their work in the field of oncology; the best presentation wins the Paul Basset Award.
