KliWiReSSE – Climate-resistant grape varieties to safeguard yields

Summer heat and drought stress pose increasing problems for winegrowers, who in many places can no longer manage without artificial irrigation. In order to adapt viticulture to the changed climatic conditions, climate-resistant grape varieties are to be bred. Making viticulture climate-resistant is the ambition of the INTERREG project KliWiReSSE. Researchers from Germany, France and Switzerland are working together under the leadership of the botanical institute at KIT. KliWiReSSE bears the Eucor label.
