This course is intended for students who wish to acquire Germanistic knowledge from an endogenous and exogenous perspective, that is to say both from the German point of view and from the French point of view. Students become familiar with the way of working in each of the national education systems and acquire intercultural skills directly related to German and French culture. This training allows for a thorough study of German language, literature, culture and civilisation.

At the end of the course, the students obtain, if successful, a double degree, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Strasbourg and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Freiburg.

The admission of students to this course is subject to language requirements at least for the German C1 level and the French language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The course can accommodate up to ten students, the objective being a uniform distribution between the two partner universities.
