The Regio Chimica cross-border bachelor’s degree course in chemistry trains high-level trilingual chemists with intercultural skills. This course is aimed at students holding an A Level equivalent (baccalauréat/Abitur) and having a minimum B1 language level in French, German and English. The first year of study takes place in Mulhouse, the second in Freiburg and the third can be done in one of the two partner universities (with, in France, the possibility of integrating the first year of ENSCMu, École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse).

The content of the courses of the Regio Chimica Bachelor is based on four areas:

  • chemistry: organic and bioorganic chemistry; physical chemistry ; mineral chemistry; biochemistry; macromolecular chemistry, safety and environment,
  • related Sciences: Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics and Scientific Communication Techniques,
  • the cultural knowledge of the three countries of the Upper Rhine region: economic, political and scientific systems in France, Switzerland and Germany, as well as cross-cultural professional skills and international project management,
  • trilingualism (French, German, English).

Successful completion of this course leads to the French degree “Licence” in Physics and Chemistry, as well as a German Bachelor of Science degree.
