The biotechnology programme of the Strasbourg Graduate School of Biotechnology (ESBS) is spread over three years. It is organised by the universities of Basel, Strasbourg and Freiburg. Students from France, Switzerland or Germany receive interdisciplinary, intensive and trilingual courses in the field of biotechnology.

Most of the courses are organised in Strasbourg, but some (including practical courses) are held in Basel and Freiburg. The courses are taught mainly in English but also in French and German.
Courses are regularly updated to reflect recent developments in both fundamental and applied research in biotechnology.

The ESBS curriculum includes a wide selection of courses ranging from molecular biology, immunology, biophysics, and process engineering to economics, language teaching, molecular modelling and bioinformatics.
